“Wine is part of the tourist offers and brings
variety and prestige to the Bulgarian tourist product. The attractiveness of
the Bulgarian cuisine and the good-quality wines have always been appreciated
by foreign vacationers, polled about their impressions from Bulgaria.
Therefore, gourmet and wine tourism are among the most promising forms of
specialised tourism in our country and have great potential for development,
especially in combination with other forms of specialised tourism, such as SPA
and wellness, cultural and historical tourism, golf tourism, etc.,” Minister of
Economy, Energy and Tourism Traicho Traikov said during his visit to the
exhibition of Bulgarian wines DiVino.Taste, which ended today.
The event brought together 37 wineries, which presented over 200 wines from Bulgaria to professionals and connoisseurs. “In recent years, we have superb wines from different wineries, which are recognised by their brand, not only by the variety and the geographical region of their origin. Our wines are absolutely competitive in Europe with respect to the value offered for the respective price,” Minister Traikov commented.
