Cyril and Methodius

Tomorrow Bulgaria celebrates the Bulgarian Education and Culture, and Slavonic Literature Day. On this day we honor the memory of the two brothers Cyril and Methodius who created the Glagolitic and Cyrillic alphabets - the oldest known Slavic alphabets. The early Cyrillic alphabet was developed in the First Bulgarian Empire at the Preslav Literary School at the end of the 9th century by the disciples of the two brothers. And we, Bulgarians, should take pride in that fact.
